Cro Mags - Live at Wellington's 1986

The Age of Quarrel lineup playing Age of Quarrel from start to finish, plus Crush the Demoniac. I've seen some vinyl rips of this on some blogs, but this one is ripped (at 320kb) from the hard to find CD version, also known as We Gotta Know and Hard Times, so the sound is excellent. Thanks to DirtySteve from Livewire. Recorded July 26, 1986 in a tiny basement club in Winnipeg called Wellington's. As always they played their hearts out and completely destroyed. Enjoy.

Cro Mags: Live at Wellington's 1986

John Joseph - vocals
Parris Mayhew - guitar
Harley Flanagan - bass
Doug Holland - guitar
Mackie Jayson - drums

A couple notes of interest: Crush the Demoniac (later to appear on Best Wishes) has different lyrics here. Supposedly there is a second Wellington's bootleg out there that was recorded a day earlier at the same venue.

  7. the other bootleg is from a place called the Rendez-vous club, they played with GBH and stole the show, so I'm told, I was too young to have been there. but thanks this great!!! A guy I know said he was skateboarding downtown the after noon of the show, and was approached by two short guys covered in tats wanting to go skating. So he went skating with them had a blast and it turned out to be Harley and John Joseph. Pretty cool.

  9. Just got a used boot of this as a gift, though I know the price tag was $40.00, says there were only 300 of these pressed. For collectors info, the cover is black and yellow with a pic of Harley, bass in hand, on it. The packaging is minimal, though the sound quality is excellent. A fucking kickass document of one of the best hardcore bands in history, at there prime! Didn't realize this was once on CD format. Vinyl still rules! APB

All bands killed it, but the CroMags where outstanding...None of us heard their stuff and didnt know hat to expect, we fell hard that night!! This was the ALL ORIGINAL lineup with Mackie on the drums!!

  12. Wasn't the same venues. I did the shows (some guy presents) and the bar show at Wellington's was Friday, and the all age show at Rendezvous was Saturday.
